Joan Baez – musician, painter, and activist – has a career that has spanned sixty years. She is a living testament to talent and social action. Joan’s debut album released in 1960, nine years before her iconic performance at Woodstock where she performed a fourteen song set-list while she was pregnant.
After Woodstock, Joan continued to make music and used her voice to defend civil rights across the world.
As a testament to her talent and activism, Joan Baez has received numerous accolades with top honors including induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame and a top honor by Amnesty International with the Ambassador of Conscience Award.
Joan released her first album in more than a decade in 2018 titled, “Whistle Down the Road.” She is currently on her Fare Thee Well Tour 2019 and announced that this will be her last year of formal touring.
